  Arunabh Chowdhuri, MS, PMP, ITIL

Arunabh Chowdhuri is an IT Senior Manager with a passion to teach and impart/share his knowledge and experience in Project Management. He specializes in designing and deploying enterprise architecture, and aligning business and IT organizations to create enterprise scale solutions. He has implemented services and solutions supporting Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence, eBusiness and Business Planning for large scale multinational companies in the hi-tech sector. He was involved in several mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, complex data center migrations and IT outsourcing initiatives. He has directed IT Centers of Excellence for companies such as Philips Semiconductors and NXP Semiconductors and led organizations spread across North America, Latin America, Western Europe and Asia. His primary focus in on project management, cost optimization, process harmonization and risk mitigation. He is PMP and ITIL certified. He holds a Masters in Computer Science and dual Bachelors in Electronics and Physics.

  Bina Mehta

Bina Mehta, CBAP, PMP has over 15 years of experience in Business Analysis, Software Development, Project Management and People Management. Bina currently works at Symantec. Her strengths include large scale ERP implementations, M&A, SOX, PCI, engagement with offshore and onshore outsourcing vendors and global cross-functional projects. At PMI Silicon Valley chapter, Bina had launched New Member Orientation program and currently serves as Program Manager, Communications. She has also achieved Competent Communicator with Toastmasters and is President of Fairoaks Toastmasters Club.Recently, she won Toastmasters International Speech contest at area level.

  Tanya Berezin

Tanya Berezin is an accomplished software development management professional. She consistently delivers the most complex and most urgent projects on schedule and to the customers’ highest expectations. Tanya excels at building high performing cross-functional development teams that enjoy developing products to delight customers. She mentors managers and software engineers and loves helping them achieve their professional goals.

Currently Tanya is a senior project manager in a startup company specializing in financial transaction processing. Her work involves understanding the requirements and coordinating the efforts of her own team and many large corporate partners to deliver the product. Before jumping into the startup world, Tanya worked for many large companies. She was a product development leader at Intuit where her teams delivered award winning products for consumers and small businesses – Quicken, QuickBooks, and Intuit Online Payroll. In her earlier lives, she led teams developing enterprise-level applications for container shipping, airline revenue management, and the energy industry. She is teaching Business Analysis at Ultimate in Success.

  Cecilie Hoffman

Cecilie Hoffman's professional passion is to educate technical and business teams about the role of the business analyst, and to empower the business analysts themselves with tools, methods, strategies and confidence. In 2006, Cecilie was one of the founding members of the Silicon Valley chapter of the IIBA. She is an active member of the chapter's board of directors. Blending her profession and personal passion for motorcycle riding, she authored the 2009 Bad Ass BA series for BA Times and is a continuing contributor. Her experience in software spans a range of roles including developer, knowledge engineer, technical support to sales, project manager and account manager which gives her a unique view on the role of the business analyst. During her product engineering years Cecilie was immersed in agile methods. After surviving three start-up companies in Silicon Valley, she burned with entrepreneurial fever and started her own consulting company. After two years of immersion in both front and back-office activities she gratefully returned to being a single contributor. Most recently Cecilie was part of the BA Center of Excellence in the IT department of Symantec Corporation.

  Sutanu Ghosh, MS,PMP

Sutanu is a PMP and MCTS in Project. Sutanu Ghosh is a member of the SV chapter since 2006. Sutanu is also a Certified Scrum Master and a Six Sigma Green Belt. Sutanu has also been a speaker at the PMI-SV's Tools & Techniques Forum. Sutanu is currently working as a Sr. Program Manager at Vmware. He has worked in Silicon Valley since 1997 as Engineering Manager, Program Manager and Director of Release and Program Management in many high-profile companies - including Bay Networks (NORTEL Networks), Symbol Technologies and Savi (a Lockheed Martin company). Prior to that, Sutanu has worked in Phoenix since 1991 primarily as S/W Engineering lead (American Express) and S/W Engineer (IDEA).

  Amber O'Brien

Amber O’Brien of Hope Staffing is a Recruiting Consultant, Career Coach and Trainer, and has been in the staffing industry in the Bay Area for over ten years. She currently trains and coaches job seekers, employees, and entrepreneurs to identify, value, and use the evidence of their own accomplishments to influence and direct their careers. She worked at The Adler Group -which helps companies around the world make hiring top talent a systematic business process. They are the originators of Performance-based HiringSM and offer a full range of training and consulting services for recruiters and hiring managers. Prior to that Amber was one of the top recruiters for L3 Communications, a top Defense contractor and Home Land Security Dept. 

  Jeff Richardson
Jeff Richardson has an unmatched passion for teamwork as demonstrated by his years of consulting/training experience with entrepreneurial startups, high tech companies.  He has been presenting Secrets of Successful Networking seminars for over 6 years for thousands of professionals while adapting the core message to meet the specific needs of the various organizations.   As an educator, Jeff designed/taught courses for Stanford’s Advanced Project Management Program, in addition to Boston University and UCSC – Extension as well as corporations like Cisco, Symantec, Intuit, Texas Instruments, Raytheon to name a few.   Mr. Richardson has BS ME and MS OD.

  Sandie Anderson, PhD

As a management executive and proven innovator, Sandie Anderson has over 15 years experience as a Project and Portfolio Management leader, directing global drug development teams at Procter and Gamble, Alza Corporation (a Johnson and Johnson company), and Alexza Pharmaceuticals, shaping consumers’ interactions with products through expert leadership of early-stage to late-phase drug development programs. She has leveraged her background with pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer products to develop and establish highly efficient systems, processes, and tools that led to multiple regulatory submissions and launches in Asia, Europe, and North America for products. Sandie, who has a passion for sharing her knowledge and mentoring others, has created learning interactive modules and training courses for team members and external partners aligned with FDA regulations and the drug-device development process. Sandie holds a PhD, MS, and BS degrees in Chemical Engineering.

  Kimberly Wiefling

Executive Editor of the Scrappy About Series, is the author of one of the top project management books in the US, “Scrappy Project Management - The 12 Predictable and Avoidable Pitfalls Every Project Faces”, a book growing in popularity around the world, and recently published in Japanese by Nikkei Business Press. She is the founder of Wiefling Consulting, LLC, a global leadership and business management consulting firm. Kimberly specializes in enabling her clients to achieve what seems impossible, but is merely difficult. A physicist by education, and a successful business leadership and project management consultant for the past 8 years, she began her professional career with 10 years at HP working in product development project management and engineering leadership. She spent 5 years in the wild and wacky world of Silicon Valley start ups, including a Xerox Parc spin-off where she was the VP of Program Management. In 2001 she rose from the ashes of the dot-com bust, launched her consulting practice, and never looked back.
She currently spends about half of her time traveling in Japan facilitating leadership, innovation and execution excellence workshops with leaders of Japanese companies committed to becoming truly global

  Tim Bombasch, PhD

Tim Bombosch, PhD is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with 10+ years of managing projects for Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Genentech, Iridex, IBM, Kaiser Permanente, and Mindjet. His areas of expertise include life science industries, enterprise collaboration, and data management software. Tim speaks frequently about project management, content management, and content globalization. He teaches project management at the University of California Extension and received his PhD from Stanford University.

  Oliver Gildersleeve
Oliver Gildersleeve is a PMP and is certified in Microsoft Project (MCTS).  He is an instructor on Microsoft Project for UC Irvine, R&D Director for Porta-Bote, and president of Microsoft Project Users Group – Silicon Valley chapter.  He has been a project manager for Summation, LifeScan (Johnson & Johnson), Franklin Templeton, and the Electric Power Research Institute.  Additionally, he teaches sailing; using advanced scheduling techniques, his students sail around San Francisco; and back to the dock on schedule, most arriving within plus or minus one minute.
